Bliss (AKA Scott McGinley) -Collection
Scott McGinley's late 90's Project BLISS was born out of the already successful NEW RELIGION. "Discovered" by record impresario Terry Ellis (former owner of Chrysalis), while touring in Asia, McGinley was flown to LA to record the new BLISS album with some of today's best musicians (Jason Scheff-CHICAGO,Tim Peirce and David Raven), producers (legendary Keith Olsen) and singers (Alex Ligertwood-SANTANA). After the recording was done, a touring band was put together and sent back on the road throughout Asia, where BLISS racked up 4 top 10 hits, 3 top 10 MTV videos and played concerts of up to 30,000 people per show! more |

Bliss-BLISStory DVD |
Before there was POP IS ART, even before THE INSIDERS, there was BLISS. Scott McGinley and company toured 11 countries in Asia with BLISS in the late 90's and scored 3 top ten MTV videos and 4 top ten hits (all included here). Scott recorded the songs in LA with some help from Keith Olsen (Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac, Heart), Jason Scheff (Chicago), and Alex Ligertwood (Santana). You may even recognize a couple POP IS ART songs reworked here. The BLISS sound is a polished California Pop sound with great harmonies and this DVD is a great compilation of all things BLISS. Included here are, not only the MTV videos, but also a behind the scenes look at the making of the album and videos, and what it was like to be on tour with BLISS and thousands of screaming fans! "Blissful listening!"-Ultrasound of the Month more |

New Religion-Something Worth Keeping
NEW RELIGION was formed in the early 90's by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Scott McGinley. After carving a niche for themselves along the US east coast, they set out to conquer the world with their mix of pop hooks, funky grooves and explosive (some have said-THE best show anywhere) live show. Many albums were released along the way, but "Something Worth Keeping" is the only one still in existence. They had a successful 5 year run, including touring 7 countries, a top 10 album and radio success. more |

New Religion-Afro-Adesiac
Before New Religion's release "Something Worth Keeping" reached #7 in Taiwan, there were many smaller local releases, both in the Philadelphia area and in different countries in Asia that did very well. The material on Afro-Adesiac is made up mostly of New Religions live staples before they turned to a more pop sound. These are funky tunes......some very old school-there are traces of Prince, James Brown, and Sly and the Family Stone, mixed with some more rock elements. Contains a bonus mix of "Something Worth Keeping's" Why Can't We Live Together. more |

New Religion-Philly Phunk
Philly Phunk rounds out the output of New Religion from the early 90's to just after their 1st few trips to Asia. The songs here range from dance/funk to full on rock and roll! There's even 5 bonus tracks here from some early New York sessions, and an early 80's style synth-pop gem. more |

New Religion-Asian Diary pt. 1 Philly to China
As New Religion grew restless playing up and down the east coast of America, they decided to head off to Asia to expand their horizons. While traveling to different countries Scott carried a small studio with him so he could write and produce new material. These recordings mark the beginning of the change for New Religion from a funk band to a Power Pop band. Some of the songs written here ended up on top 10 albums. more |

New Religion-Asian Diary pt. 2 Bali
It's amazing the amount of material Scott wrote in this time in Asia, but in two places he was even more prolific than the others. The exotic Bangkok, Thailand, and paradise on earth; Bali, Indonesia. The surroundings inspired him and he even composed an island style song with an Indonesian language chorus called "Aku Cinta Kamu". more |
